Dr Carla Allison
Dr. Carla spent her childhood in South Africa before moving to Queensland in 2000 to pursue her Bachelor of Veterinary Science at the University of Queensland. After graduating with Honours in 2004, she dedicated four years to a mixed animal clinic in Port Macquarie, relishing the diverse and challenging cases.
With over 20 years of experience as a GP Vet on the Gold Coast, Carla has established a reputation for delivering top-notch veterinary care. Her expertise lies in Small Animal Veterinary Medicine, particularly in Ultrasound, Radiography, and Computed Tomography, and she is committed to continually building on this knowledge. Carla has completed numerous workshops, webinars, training within veterinary specialist facilities, along with the full Diagnostic Imaging course through the University of Sydney’s Centre for Veterinary Education – further developing her expertise in thoracic, abdominal, and musculoskeletal radiography, CT, and ultrasonography interpretation. Although her general skillset is vast, diagnostic imaging remains a particular passion.
Outside of work, Carla enjoys chasing after her two kids, bonding with her pets — two kitties named Theodore and Storm, and a Bull-Arab cross dog named Astrid. Living on acreage, she is constantly looking forward to her next farm project.
Please drop in and introduce her to your beloved pets, she loves a good furbaby cuddle.
