Dr Katie King is a devoted veterinarian with over 10 years experience in our local community. Dr Katie graduated from the University of Queensland in 2014 with honours. Immediately following graduation she completed a rotating internship at the University of Queensland Veterinary Teaching Hospital where she completed further training in the fields of Internal Medicine, Surgery and Anaesthesia. 

After her internship year Katie moved to the Gold Coast and started her career as a general practitioner. In 2019 she became an accredited Member of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists Small Animal Internal Medicine Chapter. She has completed numerous continuing education programs in areas such as abdominal ultrasound, endoscopy and echocardiography. 

Dr Katie’s passion is assisting her patients and clients with management of complex medical cases and providing them with the highest standard of care possible. She is also a proficient soft tissue surgeon and enjoys performing a variety of soft tissue surgeries. 

In her spare time Dr Katie enjoys spending time at the beach with her family and fur baby Bosco. She loves to travel and explore the outdoors
